HIJAB, UNDERSTAND DON’T UNDERESTIMATE!!!
Well I have been living my entire teenage life wearing a piece of cloth on my head which is called as the "hijab".
I was taught from young what women have to cover and what men should cover and yes the piece of cloth is important. But the thing is that the societies in general see this as a source of weapon to kill people or to oppress women and to restrict their freedom. The media has depicted woman who cover as old fashioned people or those who don’t have a value or class in this modern world.
The actual reason why Muslim woman cover them self up and tie a cloth around them self is not because they are afraid of the public or not because of fear of the opposite gender, it is just because they are listening to their lord and after all he knows the best.
Many Muslim sisters are afraid to follow the hijab fearing that the public might not accept them. Yes, it is tough to get into a famous company with that cloth on your head, it is going to be tough to sit among a group of friend wearing full sleeves, it is going to be tough to explain why you cover up like this.
But always we should remember that at the end it doesn’t matter if the public was happy but if Allah the almighty was happy.
When talking about men, lowering their gaze in front of a mahram is their hijab. Honestly speaking the hijab for men is really tough to follow because this is not a piece of cloth they have to wear but to put their eyes when they see a lady!!!
Many men have succeeded in fulfilling this but majority cannot. They might not even realize the fact that they are admiring a woman, because their hormones are jumping around!! When the hijab of a woman is something the world keeps on talking about the hijab of men are not. One thing we should realize is that these two hijab if properly followed can only lead to a better place. The female gender cannot expose them self and ask the men not to look at, that would be like keeping a bone in front if a dog and asking it not to touch!! Neither can the men ask the woman to cover her face or sit back at home so that they don’t have to the female specie anywhere out.
