THE HIJABIFIED VERSION!

Wassup  people?!?!?
High waist jeans are the trend in the fashion industry (I heard so).
Okay, so I was wondering about how fashion, dressing and stuffs related have changed in our era and now from going all low everything is turning too high!
How easy it is for a piece of cloth to destine what we are going to present ourselves as! How crazy it is for those who go behind ALDO or ZARA, (let me be honest, these are the only two brand names that came into my little head)? Now those brand-maniacs will have their own reasons to justify but I never get the point on how easy it is for a human to forget his/her lord’s command and follow the latest trend so that they are too TAGGED IN THE “MODERN” CATEGORY. Now the reason I double quote the word modern is simple because in the generation a person is modern if his dressing style, social (online) life, his language etc are up-to-date.
Now talking about my sisters who believe they have to end up tomorrow in front of their lord the below stuff is especially for you. (Anyone’s welcome to read though!)
How many of us actually are in hijab when required?
How many of us turn around to dress up as celebrities at parties or other occasions?
How many of the daily hijabis turn out to be diva’s on their wedding?

I know how crazy we girls are when it comes to dressing. How we keep shopping for the best outfit, matching heels, matching accessories, matching what so ever. But again are we listening to our lord who told us woman that we are the most precious species on this planet. We have been raised to such a position that heaven comes under our leg but still we forget all this when it is a farewell party or a wedding reception. We paint our faces with highlight pink and blue, we stitch a dress on our body, and we fine a giraffe neck heel and think ourselves to be the prettiest among all! (Am I exaggerating???)
So I too had this problem, you see, trying to fit myself in this big world.
I realized that it isn't hard to practice my religion at all. As long as I am a Muslim woman I would not have to worry about pleasing the people around me. All that matters will be if my LORD is happy with me and as long as I listen to him I am free of worries!! J
In this world where fashion industry is a means to expose woman it is necessary we have something we call the hijabified version of dressing. Something modern as well as modest. Something that make us feel comfortable. I always believe that dressing is not something that shows out who we are rather it is our character that reveal to the people around us who we are.
To be a Muslim girl who wants to satisfy her lord is such a easy task with some difficult path but again  it is said NO PAIN NO GAIN.
Our life here is not permanent, it is temporary. And our everlasting amazing life is yet to arrive. So why not sacrifice something for your own better in the future.
Sisters let us not forget that
He is our creator
Our king
The lord of the Day of Judgment
And he created us and to him we return

So let us start up the hijabified version of life!!!!

Wait for more…. J
Peace!

A WALK DOWN THE MEMORY LANE......

I was five then, my first day in school. I sat beside a girl who later turned out to be one of my best friends. How excited we used to get each day to meet each other and play with each other. Kurian, my first guy friend, the gentle man in my class He was the tallest kid in my class, I wonder where he is now! My first guiding star, Mrs. Shameem Saleem. UKG ended with me being an apple tree, a granny and of course a hyper-active, naughty girl with short curly hair!
Kindergarten taught me that life is not a short travel but a big one which always matters on small steps we take.  All the first lessons from “mat” to what I learn now started from the small steps since KG!!
Our first friends will always remember us what ever be it. Our first teachers teach us things which no one else can. Our first parties are always the ones we enjoy the most. The first tears that drop from our tiny eyes are valuable because those tears taught us lessons to be forever in our heart. I still remember how hard it was for me to leave my parents and go to school every morning and now how many of us at least remember to tell them all “BYE” OR “LOVE YOU” before we leave. We have grownup to be so big we tend to forget the little things around us…...
My first fight because the girl sitting beside me made fun of my bestie!!(Now this is a real sensitive topic) and how easily we forgot within a period time. But now things change, we fight with our own friends and pretend like everything’s fine. No matter what happens we don’t want to hurt our baby Ego!!
We roam around in the same classroom but won’t talk. The funniest part is the fight would have been for the silliest reasons :P.
The red uniform still makes me want to go back to those days, the days free from responsibilities. The days free from any sort of tensions. The only confusion was picking up dolls, the days when we could share everything with our parents, (not that you can’t now). The days will always be cherished in my memories. My kindergarten life. To all my buddies including KURIAN,SNEHA,SUHANA,NAHAN,NAFEESA,MAAZ,JANNATH,HEBA,FIZA,NEETHU,
SAMINA,SHADIA,AYESHA,GOKUL (MY KG CLASS MATES who I remember…..) LOVE YOU GUYS AND IF EVER GET A CHANCE LET US ALL GET TOGETHER!!
THOSE WHO READ THIS……. IF ANYONE OF YOU KNOW ANY OF THESE PEOPLE JUST LET ME KNOW, IT WILL BE A GREAT FAVOUR (UKG-S, 2001-2002 BATCH….THANKS!! :))
