I see it every day while going to school. A father and a
kindergarten girl sitting on a bench in the park and talking. The girl was
telling her dad things, most probably about her school and class. She was
showing different actions and jumping around; you know what all a five year old
girl will do if you let her have the spotlight. I looked at the father; he was
sitting and listening to her. Just keenly listening to his five year old
daughter telling him stories. I looked at my dad for a minute and smiled,
knowing that this hero sitting right beside me listens to my crazy weird stories too.
We all have this big problem in our life, we don’t bother to
listen. We all want to talk, give advice, scream, shout, backbite, and spread rumors.
But we are not ready to LISTEN! Mostly because we are busy to give someone some
time to tell out there problem. We have important things to do than understand
why that girl in the corner of our class doesn't talk. We all including me take
life for granted.
And then we see people like that father who change our
reasons to live. Let us all change the way we treat people, let us all try to
LISTEN more than talk!!
